My Friend Pike is the multi-disciplinary design studio of designer Lisa Holst. She specialises in branding and typographic illustration but also provides art direction, design and illustration. Strategic thinking, creating something unique and humour is important aspects of her work.

Lisa is currently based in London but is happy to take on projects outside the UK.

    The last precious time of the trip was spent in Fernie, BC, Canada, a small mining town in the Rocky Mountains. It is weird how nature gets to you in a place like that...I got really into taxidermy, particularly sculls. I found a deer carcass and decided go a bit Damien Hirst on the scull. No diamonds, but hours of painstaking scrubbing after cold water maceration (loosening of the tissue). It was rank, but...the final piece is a beautiful white, high gloss scull.

    I'm back! Back from travelling for 6 months in North America. A little re-charger and a way to deepen the creative well.  I've attempted to pick up new skills like surfing & skateboarding (with varying success) and have seen many jaw-droppingly beautiful spots. Nature's colour palette now has my head spinning with new colour combinations!
